DJI Malaysia: Buy Drones from USA & Forwarding Guide

Malaysian shoppers can buy DJI drones, action cameras, gimbals and accessories locally, while some US listings may offer a different bundle or model. For drones especially, purchase eligibility, lithium batteries, warranty/service region and permission to operate are separate questions. Confirm all four before paying.

Quick answer: prefer an authorised local route when the same model is available and local support matters. Consider an eligible US order only after DJI confirms the model and service coverage, Amaboxly confirms the exact battery arrangement and route, and you check the rules for operating the device at the destination.

Choose the ordering route

Buy for me and USA-to-Malaysia forwarding are separate services. Neither bypasses retailer screening or carrier restrictions.

Identify the exact DJI product and bundle

• Full product and model name, including generation.
• Drone, camera, gimbal, remote controller or accessory.
• Standard, Fly More or other bundle contents.
• Every installed battery and every loose or spare battery.
• New, used, refurbished, open-box or damaged condition.
• Retailer, invoice, serial number and expected parcel count.

A bundle with multiple flight batteries is a different shipping question from a camera or gimbal with one installed battery. Do not request approval using only “DJI” or “drone.”

Battery configuration can determine the route

Record the battery model, watt-hour rating when published, quantity and whether each battery is installed in equipment or packed separately. Loose spare batteries may face different carrier rules from batteries installed in a device. Carrier acceptance and Amaboxly acceptance are separate checks and can vary by destination.

Do not order extra batteries until the complete arrangement has been assessed. Damaged, swollen, recalled or defective batteries require separate handling and may be prohibited.

Check DJI warranty and service region

DJI Care Refresh and international service coverage depend on product, purchase region and service terms. DJI says eligible international service requires supported products and regions, and the product and DJI Care Refresh must be purchased in the same country or region. Malaysia is not listed among the currently published international service regions on that page.

Confirm the exact product through DJI Support and review the current DJI Care international service explanation. Keep valid proof of purchase.

Buying a drone does not grant permission to fly it

For Malaysia, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia publishes rules and authorisation information for unmanned aircraft systems. Its guidance identifies restricted operating situations and states that authorisation requirements apply. Check the exact operation, location, aircraft and current procedure with CAAM before flight.

Review the official CAAM unmanned-aircraft guidance. Local landowner, park, security, privacy or other rules may also apply. Amaboxly does not issue flight permissions or determine where a drone may operate.

Compare the complete landed cost

1. US product price and retailer delivery.
2. Sales tax displayed at checkout.
3. Buy for me or forwarding charges.
4. International carriage based on the packed case and batteries.
5. Destination taxes, duties, permits or processing costs.
6. Possible return or repair shipping.

Large protective cases and multi-battery bundles can materially change packed size and routing. Request a current item-specific quote.

Malaysia and eligible worldwide destinations

Malaysia remains Amaboxly’s primary market. Eligible DJI cameras, gimbals, accessories or drones can also be assessed for other destinations, depending on the exact product, batteries, seller, carrier, destination and postcode. Start with the worldwide forwarding guide and request confirmation before buying.

Every destination has its own import, radio, aviation, privacy, warranty, tax and operating requirements. Shipment eligibility does not establish legal permission to operate a drone. This page does not promise that every DJI product can ship to every country. Customers located in the United States are not targeted for Amaboxly shopping or forwarding services.
