AMABOXLY · US SHOPPING & FORWARDING GUIDES
Return planning starts before checkout. Sending a purchase to a US forwarder adds delivery stages, handling costs and potentially an international return. Decide how you would handle a wrong or unwanted item while it is still in the US.
Check the seller’s terms before purchase
Read the actual listing’s return eligibility, deadline, condition requirements and return-postage rules. Identify when the return clock starts. It may start before the forwarded parcel reaches you. Save the policy and confirmation relevant to your order.
Check whether outlet, final-sale, personalised, used or marketplace items have different conditions. Ask the seller about forwarding-related restrictions. For eBay purchases, read our buyer-protection checklist and the linked eBay policy before committing.
Confirm warranty territory and service arrangements separately. A seller’s return policy and a manufacturer warranty are different arrangements; forwarding does not extend either automatically.
Request any checks before onward dispatch
If the wrong model, quantity or visible condition would change your decision, ask Amaboxly what checks are available, their cost and the point by which you must request them. Do not assume every parcel includes photos, authentication, functional testing or detailed inspection.
If there is an issue, ask whether onward dispatch can be held while you contact the seller. Confirmation is required; a message alone does not prove the shipment has stopped. Keep the item, tags, retail box and accessories in the condition required by the seller.
Provide the order number, parcel tracking, item details, invoice and a clear description of the problem. Decide promptly because seller deadlines can continue while you investigate.
Obtain authorisation and a complete quote
Ask the seller for any required return authorisation, correct return address, deadline and label. Confirm whether the label can be used from the parcel’s current location. A US domestic label does not cover transport back from another country.
Ask Amaboxly whether the requested return handling is available and obtain its complete charge before proceeding. The Malaysia service terms publish US$4 per package for seller returns plus the return-label cost, subject to seller acceptance. These are Malaysia service terms, not a universal worldwide return price.
Buying-assistance cancellation after purchase is a separate service event with separate terms. Review the Malaysia buying-assistance process where applicable. Retailer cancellation, forwarding cancellation and a seller refund should not be treated as the same action.
If the parcel has already left the US
Confirm the current location and obtain a route-specific return quote. Include international postage, handling and any customs documentation or charges. Ask the relevant service how to document a returned export or import; do not assume the original import charges will be refunded.
Compare the recoverable refund with the complete return cost before proceeding. Keep dispatch evidence and return tracking. A courier delivery scan does not itself establish that the seller has inspected the item or issued a refund.
For any promised refund, confirm its amount, original payment route and processing status with the party that charged you. Amaboxly cannot guarantee a seller’s acceptance or refund. For valuable or fragile goods, review shipment risk before purchasing; Amaboxly forwarding terms do not include loss or damage cover.
