AMABOXLY · US SHOPPING & FORWARDING GUIDES
Buying from several US stores? Combining parcels may reduce forwarding freight, but the final box and service charges determine the result. Compare separate and combined shipment plans before authorizing packing or dispatch.

Item, retailer, carrier, postcode and destination eligibility are confirmed for each request.Consolidation and repacking are different
Consolidation combines incoming parcels into an outgoing shipment. Repacking changes the packaging around an item. A combined box can still contain the original retail boxes, while a repacked parcel may be smaller without combining any orders.
Ask Amaboxly whether the requested operation is available for your items, destination and receiving arrangement. Confirm its charges, what packaging stays and the measured outcome. A service being available from another forwarder does not establish that it is included in your Amaboxly quote.
Checked freight examples: saving and break-even
These examples use the published South Korea air-freight card, checked 2 October 2026, and hypothetical confirmed billable weights. They cover freight only; packing, handling, storage, final delivery and import or clearance charges need their own comparison.
Two 1 kg parcels combined into 2 kg
- Separate air freight: 2 × US$16.90 = US$33.80.
- Combined 2 kg air freight: US$22.80.
- Freight saving: US$11.00 before other costs.
If consolidation adds a hypothetical US$5 service charge and every other applicable amount is unchanged, the saving becomes US$6.00. If the combined box’s billable weight rises to 3 kg, its US$28.70 freight plus that US$5 charge totals US$33.70: just US$0.10 below the two separate freight lines. Measure the final carton before deciding.
Two 3 kg parcels combined into 6 kg
- Separate air freight: 2 × US$28.70 = US$57.40.
- Combined 6 kg air freight: US$49.40.
- Freight saving: US$8.00 before other costs.
With a hypothetical US$10 consolidation charge and no other changes, the combined option totals US$59.40 for those lines—US$2.00 more than shipping separately. The hypothetical US$5 and US$10 charges are illustrations, not Amaboxly service prices.
Use your own destination’s card and confirmed billable weight. A weight between listed Amaboxly tiers uses the next tier, and more than 30 kg requires a separate quote. Malaysia keeps its separate published rate sheet; these South Korea examples do not change it.
Compare both complete shipment plans
Write down two quotes: separate dispatches and the proposed combined dispatch. For each, confirm international freight, required services, packing, storage, final delivery, import treatment and payment or currency-conversion costs. Mark each amount as included, additional, not applicable or still unknown.
The usable saving is the separate plan’s complete confirmed cost minus the combined plan’s complete confirmed cost. Compare the same items, values, destination postcode, service and delivery scope. The number of boxes alone does not establish the cheaper option.
Combining parcels can change outer dimensions, billable weight, handling and declaration requirements. Use the worked dimensional-weight example and complete quote comparison to check those changes. New Hampshire’s lack of general state sales tax is separate from destination import charges.
Plan arrivals, packaging and deadlines
- List every incoming parcel. Keep the retailer, order reference, invoice, contents and tracking number for each box. A single retail order may arrive in several shipments.
- Confirm where the parcels are received. Get the complete address and customer identifier before checkout. Do not assume parcels sent to different locations can be combined.
- Set the packing instructions. State which retail boxes, tags, accessories or gift packaging must stay. Ask whether an item check or photo is available and what it costs. Keep fragile items protected from heavier goods.
- Check the waiting cost. Confirm the storage start date, included period and any later charge for your actual arrangement. Do not apply a competitor’s free-storage period to Amaboxly.
- Check retailer return deadlines. Waiting for the last parcel can consume the return window for the first. Read the forwarded-purchase returns guide and resolve unwanted items before international dispatch.
- Approve the measured plan. Confirm final dimensions, scale and billable weight, every applicable charge, available route and timing before authorizing dispatch. Amaboxly does not sell freight insurance; confirm shipment-risk terms for valuable or fragile items.
What competitor guides help you check
Shipito’s consolidation FAQ explains that final shipping rates depend on the combined parcel’s dimensions and weight, and distinguishes consolidation charges from processing. Stackry’s consolidation page shows examples comparing separate and combined shipments.
Use those pages to identify the questions a quote should answer. Their prices, storage periods, memberships and packing inclusions belong to their own services. Ask each provider for the outcome of your exact shipment; a savings percentage from an example is not a promise for your box.
If a retailer sends one order in several boxes, use the split-order parcel register to identify every expected item before deciding which parcels to combine.
